Opening hours over Christmas and New Year period

The Centre will be closed from Thursday 24 December 2009 and will reopen on Monday 11 January 2010 with limited service to take bookings for courses and other activities. Full service will resume on Monday 18 January 2010. From all at The Centre, we wish you a safe, peaceful and very happy holiday season.

First Centre Adventure for 2010

The next instalment in The Centre Adventures series is the half-day bus trip to Melbourne’s most popular bargain destination, trash and treasure at the Laverton Market. Breakfast Event #3: Fashion Never Sleeps

The 3rd instalment in the Breakfast Event series will be held on 24 February 2010. This event will showcase local fashion and design. This is a non-seated event. Annual General Meeting & Open Mike Night

The Centre’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Thursday 22 October 2009 at the Melbourne Lithuanian Club, 44 Errol Street, North Melbourne, 5pm, and was followed by the first-ever Unwrap Yourself Open Mike Night (part of Spring Fling Fundraising Week 09). Congratulations and big thanks to all who participated and helped make the night a resounding success!

Spring Fling Fundraising Week 09

Spring Fling Fundraising Week 09 which helped UNWRAP the best of North & West Melbourne took place over 7 days and nights from Monday 19 October to Sunday 25 October 2009. Breakfast Event #2

The second instalment in the Breakfast Series held by the North & West Melbourne Precinct Association and The Centre took place at the Leveson on Wednesday 14 October 2009 and was a resounding success. Our thanks to all involved, with special thanks to guest speaker and local indentity, Christine Nixon, for her valuable time and insight.

Community Forum

The last Community Forum was held on 22 September 2009 at the North Melbourne Library. Our thanks to James Demetriou, Executive Director of the Learning and Life Centre, and John Murphy, Public & Communications Officer with the North Melbourne Kangaroos, for their sharing of information about the new Arden Street facility and its value to the community.
