The Centre: Connecting Community in North & West Melbourne…..and Docklands

In addition to our facility in Errol Street North Melbourne where we programs and activities for the North & West Melbourne Community, The Centre also operates a Neighbourhood House in Docklands. Located at 2 – 4 Wharf Street, The District, Docklands we aim to both connect the Docklands community with the programs and activities we run in North Melbourne as well as run programs that meet the unique needs of those living in Docklands.

Drop in and see us at either The Centre or Docklands and see what programs and activities we offer or even just for a chat.

COMMUNITY NEEDS ANALYSIS

The Centre commissioned Strategic Development Group to undertake a Community Needs Analysis (CNA) for North and West Melbourne between September 2021 and March 2022.
The purpose of the CNA is to provide information that will inform the development of new and creative ways for The Centre to engage with diverse communities in the suburbs of North and West Melbourne and to better meet their identified priorities and needs.
The research was commissioned with the plan to make its findings available to the community sector in North and West Melbourne. In the interests of sharing knowledge, collaboration and co-ordination, The Centre is making the full report available to the general public.
We welcome feedback from our local community, and particularly proposals for how we can work together to bring the recommendations of the report into reality.
